What Is Rub HER The Right Way?
When I was coming up with the idea, structure and execution for Rub HER The Right Way it took a lot of consideration about how I would start this blog and how I would film and edit my YouTube videos. Will the models laying on the massage table be fully draped, minimally draped or in some cases not totally naked but also not draped at all. Should the videos I create that are intended to ‘teach’ massage skills for individuals mimic the home setting or imitate a clinical or spa environment? What I knew at the start was relaxational and sensual massage and not therapeutic massage.
While I was at Pennsylvania Institute of Massage Therapy it was a requirement to give an oral report. Students had to present a business plan for their massage career. Rub HER The Right Way is an offshoot of that business plan. Me being a man, I wanted to start a business teaching other men how to give massages to their spouse. It was called The Royal Treatment. Wives have long complained (rightfully so) that their husbands are inattentive. I wanted to help change that for some husbands. The plan was to open a massage school and on weeknights and weekends just focus on the men who wanted to learn massage for their wives. Not to the point that they wanted to become full time students and graduate and become licensed therapists. Enough school and practice though, to be excellent at massage in the confines of their homes.
Full Transparency
I was fearful of taking my state test to get licensed. The Pennsylvania Institute of Massage Therapy school has a 90+ percentage track record of having their graduates pass the state test on the first attempt. I didn’t want to be one of the ones to fail. I also didn’t want to waste the money on a test I was probably going to fail and have to pay to take again. It’s been years since graduation and I have yet to take that test. It is however my intention to take the test AND pass it in 2020.
I started Rub HER The Right Way because I am a great therapist. I graduated from a great school and I just want to share with people who want to learn. I want to impart some knowledge. Because I am not a Licensed Massage Therapist, I cannot accept paying clients and so I do not, however I do still give massages.
I will update this post as soon as I get my Pennsylvania license! Stay tuned…
Our Mission
Our core principles were written down when I conceived the idea for The Royal Treatment. That was years before the idea for a Rub HER The Right Way website and YouTube channel came to fruition. YouTube has Community Guidelines and the Massage Industry has standards for the scope of ‘treatment’ of clients. Those industry standards include safety, cleanliness, contraindications and even how clients are covered during a massage session.
Demographics: To be fair to our intended audience, we have adopted our own guidelines and standards. Our target audience is anyone who wants to give a massage to the person they love in the privacy of their own home, specifically the bedroom.
Models: To be fair to our wonderful models, we have decided not to cover them neck to toe in a sheet, however the camera will be placed for modesty. They will be completely nude at times, however, out of respect it will not be for the sake of it. It will not be gratuitous. Each model is briefed visually and verbally on the how, when and where they will be touched. In the privacy of home there is no need for draping and our videos on YouTube and the content on this website will reflect that.
My Vision For This Business
I still visualize a brick and mortar location that provides partners with the methods and tools necessary to “up” their romantic game through sensual massage. In future posts we will discuss topics that seem taboo in regular spas. Most aren’t taboo, but the stigma associated with them or the shyness on the part of the client might keep the question bottled. We want to bring those spa questions about massage and the answers to the light of day.
What is a good example? Well it is common practice for therapists to ask the client if there is any part of the body they do not want massaged. Common answers include the feet, the stomach but most often, the butt. In fact some schools actively DO NOT teach their students how to massage this muscle group. That’s right, the most ignored part of the body during massage are the Gluteus muscles. The Gluteus Maximus, Medius and Minimus muscles.
Our vision not just includes showing why these muscles should never be excluded during a full body massage, but we want people to feel comfortable with their bodies when at a spa. Massage therapists are members of the medical community and when we see body parts on a massage table, trust me, it’s just a body. We do not judge. With your help we can make butt massage as commonplace in spas as a back massage it. Until such time, the muscles of the butt will occupy a huge chunk of the content both here and on YouTube.
Above all, being true to our goals, our viewers and respectful of our models is at the core of our business model. Again, there will be no gratuitous nudity and all content of a more erotic nature will only be available for viewing on our Patreon page.
For a little more transparency, when we begin uploading content to YouTube in 2020 we already know in the beginning it might suck. We have accepted that. We are not videographers and I personally, do not like my voice… Not a great combination for a YouTuber. Bear with us and still come along for the journey.
Thank you for reading. Now go forth and rub on your loved one.
